- Media conglomerate Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) is in talks with a number of fellow content
providers, as well as cable, satellite and telecom providers, on a new service
that would provide free, on-demand Web access for subscribers to premium pay-TV
content, AdAge.com reported. "If you want to watch your favorite TV
network or shows through broadband on any device -- PCs or mobile -- you can do
it as long as you subscribe to any multichannel provider," Time Warner CEO
Jeffrey Bewkes told AdAge.

Warner Bros. Entertainment, and HBO to collaborate on next-generation video and
implement Adobe's Flash video platform on Time Warner sites. The companies also
plan to work together "to accelerate the development of digital rights
management for the Web and desktop, and metadata and audience measurement

Los Angeles - HBO has acquired a documentary film created entirely within the "Second Life" 3D virtual world, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 35-minute film "Molotov's Dispatches in Search of the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey" was directed by Douglas Gayeton, who also co-wrote and co-directed an interactive CD-ROM version of the film "Johnny Mnemonic," and was a member of Propaganda Films. HBO intends to air the film sometime next year, as well as submit it for Oscar consideration in the animated short subject category.
