New York - Hearst-Argyle Television (NYSE: HTV) said this week that it has launched ten additional YouTube channels for its TV stations, brining the total number offered on the service to 26. The company said its channels have to date served more than 13 million views on YouTube.

New York - Sparta Social Networks announced on Wednesday that Hearst-Argyle Television has launched HighSchoolPlaybook.com, a site that will offer high school sports content and social networking features. Sparta's platform will power the site, which will feature a combination of content from pro TV videographers, users from throughout the country, and specially-trained student journalists equipped with HD cameras. In addition to the site, content will also be broadcast on local news reports from Hearst-Argyle TV stations.
