Heroes Creator Tim Kring To Keynote at Future of Television Forum West 2009Authored by Jay Baage on January 13, 2009 - 9:50am.
It's our great pleasure to announce that Tim Kring will keynote at our upcoming Future of Television Forum West 2009 on March 24-25. Wired describes Tim Kring (creator, executive producer and writer, Heroes) as a "modern TV
creator who thinks outside of the boobtube." "When I pitched Heroes, I knew an important element to getting
on air was how it can incorporate the Internet. I'm sort of a student of
television, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that things are changing
quickly. Production costs are going up. We're losing eyeballs. We have to reach
people in other ways," said Kring in an exclusive interview with Wired. In
this rare opportunity to meet one of television's most successful creators (Heroes, Chicago Hope, Providence, Crossing Jordan)
at Future of Television West, you will have the chance to hear how Kring is
using an alternative–reality game, webcomics and online social networking
to enhance one of television's most popular shows. Kring joins a great line-up which includes Dick Glover, CEO, Funny of Die Networks and many more TBA.
