Chinese Internet TV Distributor UUSee Raises $23.5 Million

Beijing - UUSee, a provider of Internet TV distribution services in China, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $23.5 million in a new round of venture capital financing, led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth Fund and Highland Capital Partners.

Chinese User-Generated Content Search Firm Qihoo Secures $25 Million

Beijing - Chinese search engine developer Qihoo announced that it has raised $25 million in its second round of venture capital financing. Highland Capital Partners led the investment round; Redpoint Ventures and previous investors Sequoia Capital China, CDH, Matrix Partners and IDG Ventures also participated.

Top10 Media Raises $3.5 Million of Venture Capital

Cambridge, Mass. - Top10 Media, a provider of online networking services for publishing and retail applications, has raised $3.5 million in a round of venture capital led by Highland Capital Partners with participation from Schooner Capital and others. Founded last year, Cambridge, Mass.-based Top10 Media's service allows users to tap into blogs, podcasts, video, and mainstream news outlets on the Web. The company recently acquired Blogniscient, a set of algorithms that automatically categorize and rank user-generated and other Web-based content.
