New Clinton Offensive on Obama: More Attack Websites

Senators Clinton and Obama have taken to the internet to spread their messages in recent months like teens to MySpace. It began with Clinton’s launch of The Fact Hub, a site dedicated to providing quick responses to charges and news reports that her campaign deems inaccurate. Then Obama released Hillary Attacks a month later, which serves to acknowledge then dismantle incoming barbs from Clinton.

As the conclusion to the races for party nominations draws closer, bare-knuckle boxing has ensued. Senator Barack Obama has taken his fight to the internet, creating a website called Hillary Attacks, which, as its name might suggest, serves the purpose of acknowledging, and then dismantling, oncoming barbs from Senator Hillary Clinton.

Clinton Backer Sneaks Tough Question at CNN/YouTube Debate

CNN and YouTube hosted a Republican debate yesterday, and Hillary Clinton’s campaign has emerged as the hot topic.  It happened when retired Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr, whose affiliation to Clinton was unknown, stood and asked the candidates, “why you think that American men and women in uniform are not professional enough to serve with gays and lesbians,” Politico reports.  According to a press release from the Clinton campaign, Kerr was named co-chairman of the New York senator’s National Military Veterans group this month.

Student on MySpace: CNN Forced Soft Question to Clinton

Senator ClintonOf central issue prior to last night’s Democratic debate in Las Vegas was CNN host Wolf Blitzer’s approach to Clinton, which her campaigned had feared would be overly aggressive.  But afterward, the campaign praised Blitzer: The Drudge Report quoted a senior adviser to Clinton as saying, “(Blitzer) was outstanding, and did not gang up like (Tim) Russert did in Philadelphia. He avoided the personal attacks, remained professional and ran the best debate so far. Voters were the big winners last night.” Now Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic reports that at least one UNLV student, Maria Luisa, says CNN forced her to ask Clinton a question about whether she prefers “diamonds or pearls,” as opposed to the more challenging one she had originally created.

Hillary Clinton's The Fact HubPresidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has upped her involvement in the “Blogosphere” with a new website called The Fact Hub that provides a quick response to charges and news reports that her campaign deems inaccurate.  The site implies that its contents are, in fact, the Facts of the story, period, using the slogan, “The Straight Scoop on Election ’08 from The Hillary Clinton Campaign.”

Don Imus will reportedly join WABC on December 3rdThe nation’s #1 talk radio station, WABC in New York City, will host the resurrection of Don Imus’s Imus in the Morning when it airs on December 3rd, according to the Drudge Report.  Said an unnamed source, "We'll have him on a standard 40-second delay. Don is rested, humbled, and ready for war!"

Sen. Hillary Clinton Weighs In on Webcasting Royalty Dispute

San Francisco - New York Senator and presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton expressed support for continued negotiations between webcasters and SoundExchange over royalty rates for streaming music online, in an e-mail reply sent to constituents who queried her on the issue, Wired News reported. "I will continue to monitor this situation with the hope that they produce a fair and equitable resolution for all sides," reads the e-mail from Clinton, published in full on Wired.com. "Please be assured that I will continue to follow this issue closely and that I will keep your views in mind in the future as the situation plays out."

Hillary Clinton Lets Online Voters Choose Official Campaign Song

Los Angeles - Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has asked visitors to her website to vote for what should become her official campaign song. Suggestions include "Beautiful Day" and "City of Blinding Lights" by U2; "Ready to Run" by the Dixie Chicks; "Right Here, Right Now" by Jesus Jones; and "I'll Take You There" by the Staple Singers. Users are also encouraged to submit their own suggestions.

News Corp.'s MySpace has plans to host a general presidential vote on Jan. 1 and 2 of next year. It’s an interesting digital media experiment on many levels, putting the spotlight on what politics 2.0 is all about: making politics relevant, interactive, and immediate. However, the presidential candidates still have a lot to learn from Tila Tequila if they want to win the vote of the cool young kids on MySpace.

Obama vs Clinton Who knew the 2008 election would be so sexy, so early?  Don’t you just love it?  Unofficial polls say people are tired (or bored) of Iraq.  Not sure what that means, but there you have it…the American people want something fresh.  They demand it.  And what better way to give it to them than with some hot, steamy internet video banter?  Does anyone doubt the relevance of that fast food treat called “YouTube” now?  I didn’t think so!  It’s here to stay, people, accept it.
