U.K. Loyalty Firm Nectar Taps Hip Digital Media for Music Service

Vancouver, Canada - Hip Digital Media, a provider of branded digital music stores and content management services, announced on Wednesday the launch of a digital music store it created for Nectar, a U.K.-based customer rewards program. The Nectar Digital Music Store will offer an all-MP3 catalog of more than one million tracks from EMI, Sony BMG, Warner Music, The Orchard and other labels.

Hip Digital Media Takes Aeroplan Music Store DRM-free

Vancouver, B.C. - Hip Digital Media announced on Monday that it will covert all tracks at the Aeroplan Music Store to MP3 format, in effect creating what it says is the first commercial music download site in Canada to offer content from all four major labels in a DRM-free format. The company partnered with Aeroplan in September to create the store, which allows members of Aeroplan -- a loyalty rewards program -- to redeem Aeroplan Miles for music downloads.

Target Taps Hip Digital for DRM-free John Legend Album Promo

Los Angeles - Major retail store chain Target (NYSE: TGT) has launched a digital music promotion with Sony BMG and Hip Digital Media, and will offer artist John Legend's album "Live From Philadelphia" as a DRM-free MP3 download for $10. The offering marks the first digital download site promotion in the U.S. for Target, which will also be the exclusive retailer of the CD and DVD versions of the album.

Promo Music Distributor Hip Digital Media Teams with The Orchard

New York - Hip Digital Media, a promotional digital music distributor, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with The Orchard, a digital distributor of independent music with a library of over 1 million tracks. Under the deal, Hip Digital will have access to The Orchard's catalog to create and deliver custom-branded loyalty programs for third-party clients.
