Los Angeles - Hollywood.com, an entertainment site offering celebrity and movie news, reviews and showtimes, has acquired Media by Numbers, an Encino, Calif.-based provider of box office data, analysis and commentary, Variety reported.

Boca Raton, Fla. - Hollywood Media Corp. (NASD: HOLL) announced on Wednesday that it has sold off its Hollywood.com and Hollywood.com Television businesses to R&S Investments, an entity owned by Hollywood Media's chairman Mitchell Rubinstein and president Laurie Silvers, for $10 million.

Movielink Video-on-Demand Service to be Distributed on Hollywood.com

Santa Monica, Calif. -- Movielink, an online video-on-demand joint venture between a number of Hollywood movie studios, announced on Wednesday a distribution agreement with Hollywood Media Corp., whereby a co-branded version of the Movielink service will be offered on Hollywood.com. The deal is the first third-party distribution agreement for Movielink, a joint venture between MGM Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal and Warner Bros. that offers downloadable films for a 24-hour period for between $2.95 and $4.99. The Hollywood.com site currently features movie previews and reviews, showtime listings and entertainment news.
