Alexandria, Va. - Wupima, a distributor of mobile content in Chinese, said that it has paid an undisclosed sum to acquire Hook Mobile, a creator of viral tradable media content.

Atlantic Records Taps Hook Mobile for Mobile Trading Cards

New York - Warner Music Group's Atlantic Records said on Tuesday that it has partnered with Virginia-based Hook Mobile to launch mobile trading card communities for its artists. The offering will allow fans to purchase, collect, trade and redeem unique mobile trading cards of multiple artists for cash and prizes. The first to participate is hip-hop artist T.I., whose mobile trading cards are tied to the release of his album, "T.I. vs T.I.P."

Chad and Ryan Steelberg, brothers and founders of radio advertising company dMarc – now owned by Google – have stepped down a little more than one year after Google acquired it, the search giant confirmed on Friday. A Google spokesman declined to comment on those claims or discuss why the Steelbergs left. Google began testing its Audio Ads program for radio, using the dMarc technology, late last year.
