New York - Hovr, a distributor of free, ad-supported mobile games and other content, on Wednesday announced the launch of a new white-label service that will allow consumer websites, mobile portals and wireless carriers to offer their users ad-supported mobile games under their own brands. Boston - Mobile advertising provider Third Screen Media, a unit of AOL's Advertising.com, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with mobile content provider Hovr. The video game industry has spent a lot of time researching women gamers with the hope of luring new customers. New York - Hovr on Monday announced the launch of its service that offers free, ad-supported games for mobile phones. New York-based Hovr is initially offering more than 100 game titles from 15 publishers that include embedded ads, such as "Underground Racer," "Hugo Cannon Cruise" and "Texas Holdem." The company said that it surpassed 200,000 game downloads within weeks of activating its beta site.
