London - Hutchison Whampoa's U.K. mobile network operator 3 UK announced on Monday that it will offer the touch-screen HTC Hero smartphone bundled with music streaming service Spotify.

New York - T-Mobile USA on Thursday began taking pre-orders from existing customers for the myTouch 3G, the second handset from HTC to run Google's (NASD: GOOG) Android mobile operating system. Nationwide sales for the myTouch, which will cost $199 with a two-year service contract, will begin on Aug. 5.

Bellevue, Wash. - Wireless carrier T-Mobile (NYSE: T) USA announced on Monday that it will launch the second smartphone to feature Google's (NASD: GOOG) Android operating system, the HTC myTouch, in the U.S. this summer with a $199 price tag. The device features a 3.2-inch touch screen, virtual keyboard and an upgradable 4GB microSD memory card, with consumers able to customize the applications on their phones via the Android Market.

Barcelona - Manufacturer HTC and wireless carrier Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) on Wednesday introduced the HTC Magic smartphone, to date the second mobile phone to be powered by Google's (NASD: GOOG) Android mobile operating system.

Walmart Selling G1 Phone for $30 Less Than T-Mobile

New York - Retail giant Walmart (NYSE: WMT) will sell HTC's G1 mobile phone -- the first handset to feature Google's (NASD: GOOG) Android operating system -- for $30 less than exclusive wireless carrier partner T-Mobile is charging for the device, Reuters reported. Walmart is now selling the G1 for $148.88 to customers who sign up for a two-year contract with T-Mobile. T-Mobile, meanwhile, is selling the G1 for $179.
