Electronic Arts Signs Hugo Weaving to Voice "Lord of the Rings" Game

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Thursday that it has signed actor Hugo Weaving as lead voiceover talent for its "The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Midde-earth II" PC game. Weaving played elf leader Lord Elrond in the New Line Cinema film trilogy, as well as Agent Smith in the "Matrix" trilogy. EA added that John Howe, a concept artist who worked on the film trilogy, has joined its design team for the game.
