Shanghai, China - Chinese online game publisher and operator Shanda Interactive Entertainment (NASD: SNDA) announced on Monday that it has paid $46.2 million for a 51% stake in Hurray (NASD: HRAY), an artist development, music production and wireless music and content distributor in China.

Beijing - Hurray (NASD: HRAY), a wireless music and content distributor, as well as artist development and music production firm based in China, announced on Wednesday that it has made a $3 million equity investment in Taiwan's Seed Music Group, an artist development, music production and offline distribution company.

President of Chinese Label, Mobile Distributor Hurray Resigns

Beijing - Hurray (NASD: HRAY), a Chinese music management firm, record label and wireless music distributor, announced on Friday the resignation of president, COO and acting CFO Sean Wang. Hurray said that current VP and financial controller Xiaoqing Guo will assume the role of acting CFO, but did not mention replacements for the other positions.

Beijing - Hurray, a Chinese distributor of wireless entertainment content, said on Thursday that it has partnered with Yahoo China to release a new EP from Chinese recording artist Zhang Liangying. Hurray recently paid $4.3 million for a controlling interest in the Chinese record label Huayi Brothers Music. Hurray plans to release the EP for wireless platforms, while Yahoo China will make the EP available for purchase and download to on PCs.

Beijing - Hurray, a Chinese provider of wireless services and music production and distribution, announced on Tuesday that it has made a $4.3 million equity investment in Huayi Brothers Music, a Chinese movie and music production company. The deal will give Hurray a 51% stake in Huayi, and grant it the rights to distribute music from Huayi artists such as Yu/Quan and Huang Zheng on wireless and Internet platforms.

Beijing - Hurray Holding Co., a Chinese wireless entertainment publisher, announced on Monday that it has paid $7.56 million to acquire a 60% stake in Freeland Music, a Chinese producer and distributor of recorded music. Hurray will distribute Freeland's music -- which includes top-selling artists Xiangxiang, Yang Chengang and Yang Yi -- via wireless and Internet platforms, while Freeland will continue physical distribution.

Beijing - Hurray Holding Co., a Chinese wireless entertainment distributor, announced on Wednesday that it has signed a multi-year agreement to produce albums from Liangying Zhang, the third-place finalist from "Super Girl," Chinese TV's version of "American Idol." Beijing-based Hurray and Huayi Brothers Music Co., a Chinese artist development and music production firm, will partner on the production of both Zhang's debut record and future albums.

Hurray, Baidu Offer Chinese Song Exclusively Via Mobile, Web

Beijing - Hurray Holding Co., a Chinese mobile entertainment publisher, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Chinese search engine Baidu, to jointly release the latest single from Chinese pop star Chen Hao, which will not be released on CD, through Baidu's digital music service and Hurray's mobile platforms. Hurray said it has also licensed additional songs from Chen Hao's album for mobile distribution.
