Student Charged Under DMCA for Modifying Game Consoles

Anaheim, Calif. - A 27-year-old California man has been arrested and charged with breaching the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), for allegedly modifying video game consoles so that pirated games could be played on them.

Washington - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced that it conducted raids on businesses, storefronts and residences on Wednesday in 16 states, related to an investigation into the alleged sale and distribution of illegal video game console mod chips and disc copyright circumvention devices.

Leader of DrinkOrDie Web Piracy Ring Gets 51 Months in Prison

Washington - The leader of Internet piracy ring DrinkOrDie, which distributed an estimated $50 million in pirated software, movies, games and music, was sentenced on Friday to 51 months in prison.
