GigaMedia Limited today announced the appointment of Thomas Hui as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company with immediate effect. Mr. Hui has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company for the past three years -- and will continue to oversee the Company's financial functions in an interim capacity until the appointment of his replacement.

ICopyright Online Licensing Service Acquired by Reprint Services

Seattle -- Data Depth Corp., which operates iCopyright, a provider of copyright licensing services for publishers, announced that it has sold its iCopyright Instant Clearance Service to St. Paul, Minn.-based Reprint Services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ICopyright has tagged over six million articles originally published by Tribune, Reuters, Dow Jones and others for online licensing. While Reprint Services will acquire iCopyright's installed base of publishers and end users, Seattle-based Data Depth will retain ownership of the underlying technology. "This partnership consummates our goal of integrating the iCopyright instant licensing platform with a leading custom reprints supplier. Users now have a one-stop source for licensing online and off-line content, said Data Depth founder Mike O'Donnell.
