New York - IGA Worldwide, the provider of an in-game advertising network, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with Valve, to serve in-game ads in the game publisher's online action game, "Counter-Strike." "Counter-Strike rivals many of the current top ten watched shows on American televisions.

Redwood City, Calif. - Video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts on Thursday announced its entry into the in-game advertising market, signing new agreements with in-game ad providers Massive Incorporated and IGA Worldwide.

In-Game Advertising Network IGA Worldwide Raises $12 Million

New York - IGA Worldwide, the operator of an in-game advertising network for video games, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $12 million in its first round of venture capital financing. Easton Capital Group and Morgenthaler Ventures co-led the investment round; previous investor DN Capital also participated. New York-based IGA provides planning, serving and tracking of targeted ad campaigns across its Radial Network of online game titles, which includes an open source version of "Counter-Strike." The company offers the ability to deliver audio, video and 3D ads within games for clients including Spike TV. IGA said it will use the funds to accelerate growth.

IGA Forms Global Media Group for In-Game Ad Networks

London -- IGA Worldwide, a provider of in-game advertising services, announced that it has created a global media group that will focus on the planning, serving and tracking of targeted ads within PC and console video games. The company also announced that it has acquired U.K.-based game advertising firm Hive Partners, which will form part of the media group that will also include IGA Partners North America, IGA Partners Europe and IGA Technologies. The game advertising group will have offices in New York, London and Berlin, with plans to expand to Paris, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Benelux in coming months. IGA's launch of a global media group for in-game ads follows the recent launch of in-game ad networks by IGN Entertainment and Massive Inc.
