San Francisco - News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) IGN Entertainment unit announced on Monday that it has sold its movie review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes to rival Flixster.

Brisbane, Calif. - IGN Entertainment, a recent acquisition of News Corporation that provides video game news and information, on Wednesday announced the launch of IGN Mobile. Initially offered to Cingular subscribers for $4.99 per month, the service will include the company's game news, reviews, tips, cheats and other content.

Video Game Network IGN Entertainment Files for IPO

Brisbane, Calif. -- IGN Entertainment, a provider of video game news and information, announced this week that it has filed for an initial public offering on the Nasdaq exchange. While the company has not disclosed the number of shares to be sold, or their offering price, the website IPO Monitor estimated the offering will raise $200 million. Brisbane, Calif.-based IGN was once previously a public company under a different name -- Snowball -- before being taken private and subsequently acquiring a slate of companies over the past several years. The company's network of video game, movie and entertainment sites includes GameSpy, Rotten Tomatoes, AskMen.com, FilePlanet, Direct2Drive, TeamXbox, 3D Gamers and GameStats.com. IGN said that Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Lehman Brothers Inc. will act as joint book-running managers for the offering, while UBS Securities and Jefferies Broadview will serve as co-managers.
