DMW Vlog: Tom Arnold and Illeana Douglas On Shooting For The Web

Authored by Jay Baage on December 12, 2008 - 12:57pm.

Los Angeles - Actor and Comedian Tom Arnold stars in a new Internet show called "Easy To Assemble," created by the talented Illeana Douglas and sponsored by Swedish furniture giant IKEA. In the candid interview embedded above, he talks about his impressions of starring in online video shows versus television and film, how he copes with Internet hecklers and his view that, contrary to popular opinion in Hollywood, there is actually some money to be made on the Internet. Embedded below is an interview with Illeana Douglas, who has shifted her focus from starring in big productions such as Cape Fear, Seinfeld and Ugly Betty, to trying her hand at writing and directing, most recently with Easy To Assemble. It's a really funny show, well worth checking out. I've enbedded an episode at the bottom.

Buzz Watch: Mark Malkoff Lives in Ikea (!) See Him On YouTube

Authored by Heather Hopkins on January 17, 2008 - 11:57am.

A colleague sent me an email about Mark Malkoff moving into Ikea while his NY apartment is fumigated. I checked Hitwise data and found a nice spike in traffic to the marklivesinikea.com website and in searches for "mark malkoff", with Thursday the biggest day for visits to the website. The stunt has no doubt been good for Mark's career. But what about Ikea. This is where things get interesting... Ikea is hosting their annual post-holiday sale and this stunt is likely cheaper than expensive TV ads.
