"Call of Duty 4" Big Winner at Interactive Achievement Awards

Las Vegas - The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) last night announced winners of the 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, with "Call of Duty 4," "BioShock" and "The Orange Box" each picking up four awards. Activision's (NASD: ATVI) "Call of Duty 4" won for Overall Game of the Year and Console Game of the Year, while "The Orange Box" from Valve/Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS) took home the award for Computer Game of the Year. Take-Two Interactive's (NASD: TTWO) "BioShock" won various awards for art direction, music, sound design and story development. A full list of winners is available from a link below.

Nominees Announced for 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards

Calabasas, Calif. - The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has announced the nominees for its 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, which will be held next month in Las Vegas in connection with the D.I.C.E. Summit. Developer Epic Games' "Gears of War" garnered ten nominations -- including a nod for Overall Game of the Year -- a category where it is up against "Wii Sports" (Nintendo); "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" (Nintendo); "Guitar Hero 2" (Harmonix/Red Octane); and "Elder Scrolls IV" Oblivion (Bethesda Softworks).
