Santa Monica, Calif. - Universal/Interscope Records artist Nine Inch Nails (aka Trent Reznor) on Wednesday announced plans to release a remix album version of his recent offering, "Year Zero," that will include a DVD-ROM containing all multi-track recordings -- allowing fans create their own remixes. The new release features remixes of "Year Zero" tracks from artists including New Order's Stephen Morris, Kronos Quartet, Bill Laswell, The Knife's Olof Dreijer and The Faint, as well as one remix track created by a fan. The DVD-ROM tracks are pre-formatted for use with popular mixing applications like Apple GarageBand and Ableton Live. New York -- Rockstar Games, the game publishing label of Take-Two Interactive responsible for the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, on Tuesday announced details for an 8-CD box set to accompany its recently released "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" game. As the game is set in the early 1990's, many of the CDs will feature tracks from the era, as well as DJ dialogue and satirical commercials found in the game. Artists featured include 2 Pac, Public Enemy, Bell Biv DeVoe, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Soundgarden and Faith No More. The company partnered with Interscope Records to release the box set in Europe on Dec. 6, and in the U.S. on Dec. 7.
