Twitter Faces Patent Infringement Lawsuit

San Francisco - A patent infringement lawsuit has been filed against microblogging service Twitter, by a Texas company that offers a service that "simultaneously delivers uniform, reliable and verifiable emergency messages to an unlimited number of contacts within seconds, across all means and devices of communication."

Groove Mobile to Distribute Mobile Music for IRIS Distribution

New York - Groove Mobile, a provider of mobile music download services, announced on Wednesday a worldwide licensing deal with IRIS Distribution. The deal will provide independent record labels distributed by IRIS -- whose artists include Le Tigre, Modest Mouse and Godspeed You Black Emperor -- with the ability to sell full-track song downloads to mobile phones through Groove Network's wireless carrier partners.

Nareos Mobile P2P Service Adds Tracks from IODA, IRIS, Others

Beverly Hills, Calif. - Nareos, a provider of peer-to-peer mobile phone song download technology, announced on Wednesday that it has signed agreements to add tracks from the Independent Online Distribution Alliance (IODA), IRIS Distribution, Zebrulation and Big Fish Media to its PeerBox service.
