Reigncom Releases iriver clix Rhapsody Digital Music Player

Vancouver, Wash. - Consumer electronics maker Reigncom on Monday launched the iriver clix Rhapsody, a new digital music player optimized for use with RealNetworks' Rhapsody digital music service. The 4GB, $189 player automatically updates with personalized new music each time it is connected to Rhapsody, and allows users to both read reviews and rate songs and artists directly on the device.

San Francisco - Wired News reported on Thursday that a stealth-mode company called Broadband Instruments, founded by former executives at Musicmatch, iRiver and Rio, is developing unspecified digital music technology that may include a consumer device and wireless functionality.

Vancouver, Wash. - Consumer electronics maker iriver on Wednesday introduced its iriver clix portable media player, a 2GB flash memory-based player that features video playback, photo viewing and music storage. The $199 device supports the portable subscription feature available through the Urge digital music service launched by MTV and Microsoft.

IRiver Ships Line of Color-Screen Flash MP3 Players

Milpitas, Calif. - Digital audio device maker iriver on Wednesday introduced a line of color-screen, flash-based MP3 players. The U10 measures 2.7-inches by 1.8-inches, and features a 2.2-inch color display; the device is available in a 512MB version for $199 and a 1GB version for $249.
