Social Syndication Provider iWidgets Lands $4.1 Million

San Francisco - iWidgets, a provider of social media and portal syndication services for publishers, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $4.1 million in first round funding, led by Opus Capital and University Venture Fund.

CBS Taps iWidgets to Syndicate TV Shows on Social Networks

San Francisco - Social media firm iWidgets announced that it has partnered with CBS Interactive (NYSE: CBS) to syndicate a range of CBS TV episodes on sites including Facebook, MySpace and iGoogle. CBS will initially offer "CSI," "Amazing Race," "NCSI" and "Numb3rs," but over the next few months plans to syndicate a majority of its programming, iWidgets said.
