Walmart.com, In-Store TV to Feature Jonas Brothers Concert

Brisbane, Calif. - Retail giant Walmart (NYSE: WMT) on Tuesday posted an exclusive concert from Disney's (NYSE: DIS) Jonas Brothers, in addition to behind-the-scenes interviews, on Walmart.com. The promotion will also see the video shown in Walmart stores through Walmart TV beginning on June 15, a day before the release of the group's new album.

Jonas Brothers Debut New Music in Facebook Webcasts

San Francisco - Disney's (NYSE: DIS) the Jonas Brothers, a launch artist featured on the MySpace Music service, have instead chosen rival Facebook to premiere webcasts of performances of songs from their forthcoming album, CNET News.com reported. The band, which has over 1 million fans on Facebook, created the webcasts using an app created by Ustream.

Disney to Premiere Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Film

Hollywood - Following the success of its similar Hannah Montana project, Walt Disney Pictures (NYSE: DIS) plans to premiere its "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" film on Feb. 27. Disney promises "a high energy 3D rockumentary that combines excerpts from their 'Burning Up' concert tour with behind-the-scenes footage, new songs, off-the-wall segments, swarming fans and a lot of JB-style humor."

A few months ago we posted a list of the top 10 band / artist searches sending traffic to MySpace, the primary destination of searches for new artists. We’ve decided to expand the list to cover our whole Social Networking and Forums category, which includes the likes of Facebook and Bebo as well as YouTube (the fourth most popular destination for new artist searches after the MySpace, the band’s homepage and Wikipedia). So, here is a list of the hottest bands in the UK during June, based on the top 50 band / artist searches sending traffic to our Social Networking and Forums category (with their May position in brackets).

Live Nation Signs Jonas Brothers to Touring Deal

Los Angeles - Live Nation (NYSE: LYV), the large concert promoter and venue owner, said this week that it has signed platinum-selling Hollywood Records artists the Jonas Brothers to a long-term, worldwide touring deal. The agreement follows similar deals Live Nation has struck with Madonna, the Rolling Stones and the Police. Tickets for Jonas Brothers tour dates will be sold through LiveNation.com.
