Report: Mobile Music, Games, & TV to Generate $47.5 billion by 2010

Hampshire, UKJuniper Research has released a report saying that increased 3G penetration and made-for-mobile content will create $47.5 billion in revenue by 2010.  According to the report, however, improvement in three factors are key in making that happen: 1) User interface; 2) Network coverage; and 3) the High cost of data services.

Hampshire, U.K. - The global mobile music market is expected to be worth $17.5 billion by 2012, with growth driven by rental music services and full-track downloads, according to a new report from Juniper Research. "I think it's fair to say that 2007 marked the tipping point as far as mobile music adoption was concerned," said report author Dr. Windsor Holden. "Far more subscribers began downloading and subscribing to music content in developed markets, and it must be said that that the publicity surrounding the iPhone launch undoubtedly contributed to consumer awareness of mobile music services per se."

Report: World Mobile Music Revenue to Reach $14 Billion in 2011

Hampshire, U.K. - Worldwide mobile music revenues will reach $14 billion in 2011, according to a report from U.K.-based Juniper Research. The Asia Pacific region is expected to account for 40% of the market, while Europe will represent 27%, North America 18%, and the rest of the world 15% of the market.
