Sanjay Mehta joins Kasenna, the IPTV Company ™ as its Vice President of Engineering. Mehta is charged with managing all of Kasenna’s engineering and QA activities and resources for the company’s R&D center in Bangalore, India and for their Sunnyvale, California headquarters. Mehta most recently served as Senior Director of Global Sstems development at Quantum Corporation.

Sunnyvale, Calif. - Kasenna, a provider of Internet-based TV delivery technology, announced on Monday that Virginia-based Cavalier Telephone and TV will use its technology to launch the first MPEG-4-based broadband TV service in the U.S.

Sunnyvale, Calif. - Kasenna, a provider of delivery technology for Internet-based video-on-demand, announced on Friday that it has appointed Kumar Shah as its new CEO. Shah replaces Mark Gray, who will remain chairman of Kasenna's board. Previously, Shah was president and CEO of Occam Networks, and also entrepreneur-in-residence at US Venture Partners.

Video-on-Demand Firm Kasenna Raises $11 Million

Mountain View, Calif. - Kasenna, a provider of video-on-demand programming and delivery technology for IPTV services, announced on Monday that it has raised $11 million in a new round of venture capital financing. Intel Capital led the investment round, in which all of Kasenna's existing investors participated. Mountain View, Calif.-based Kasenna provides video-on-demand services for customers including Charter Communications, Cavalier Telephone and SaskTel. The company will use the funds to expand within domestic and international IPTV and cable markets, as well as strengthen to its balance sheet.

Broadband Video Delivery Firm Kasenna Raises $15 Million

Mountain View, Calif. -- Kasenna, a provider of broadband video delivery services for the telecom, cable, hospitality and other industries, announced on Thursday that it has raised $15 million in its latest round of venture capital financing. Key Ventures led the investment round; new investor AsiaTech Management, as well as previous investors US Venture Partners, Alloy Ventures, OM Technology Investments Partnership, Artiman Ventures, CIR Ventures and The Entrepreneurs' Fund also participated. Mountain View, Calif.-based Kasenna, which recently acquired rival ViewNow, provides IP video infrastructure, applications and video-on-demand programming for video services. The company said the new funds will take it well into profitability, as well as enable it to accelerate its expansion into cable and telco service provider markets around the world.

Broadband Video Network Provider Kasenna Acquires ViewNow

Mountain View, Calif. -- Kasenna, a maker of broadband video network systems, announced that it has purchased the business of ViewNow, a provider of video-on-demand programming, management and marketing services to cable and telecom providers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The ViewNow business will become a division of Kasenna, and will operate from its current locations in Bend, Ore. and Santa Monica. Steve Roberts, the president of ViewNow, also will remain with the combined company as president of the new division. Kasenna said that the deal will allow it to offer video-on-demand infrastructure and applications, as well as video-on-demand programming.
