King Biscuit RecordsWolfgang's Vault, King Biscuit Records to Sell Vintage Concert DownloadsAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on April 24, 2007 - 3:46pm.
New York - King Biscuit Records, which controls the Bill Graham and "King Biscuit Flower Hour" archives of concert audio and video, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Wolfgang's Vault, a site that offers vintage recordings and memorabilia from concert promoter Bill Graham's venues, to sell vintage concert recordings at ConcertVault.com. The offering comes at the same time that Wolfgang's Vault is embroiled in a lawsuit with Sony BMG and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, over the rights to some of the recordings it owns. At launch, the site will offer 52 live concert downloads, including performances by Iggy Pop, Humble Pie, Kansas, Steve Miller, The Alarm and Pat Benatar. The $9.98 full-length concerts will be delivered as 256K MP3 files. tags: Lawsuits | Music | DRM | Copyright | Wolfgang's Vault | King Biscuit Records | ConcertVault.com |
