AOL, Miss O and Friends Team on Music Recording Contest for Girls

Dulles, Va. - AOL said on Tuesday that its KOL kids site has partnered with Miss O and Friends, a lifestyle brand for girls ages 8-14, and music producer John Boylan on a contest that gives tween girls the chance to have their voice or songs professionally produced and recorded. Miss O Club members pay a $4.99 fee to submit a video performance, and users of KOL.com and MissOandFriends.com will select weekly winners in several categories. Overall winners will receive a trip to New York or Los Angeles and two days of production and recording with a professional producer. 

AOL to Reportedly Phase Out Kid Sites KOL and "Red" Service

Dulles, Va. - More than three years after launching its KOL service for kids aged 7-12 and Red service for teens, AOL plans to phase out both businesses, PaidContent.org reported.

AOL to Partner With DIC Entertainment on Saturday Morning TV

Dulles, Va. - Expanding its online presence to television, said that its online kids service, KOL, has partnered with global brand management company DIC Entertainment to co-produce a new Saturday morning branded programming block, "KOL's Saturday Morning Secret Slumber Party on CBS."
