Kyocera Handset to Feature Enhanced Audio from BBE Sound

Huntington Beach, Calif. - BBE Sound, a developer of advanced audio technologies for professional and consumer electronics, announced on Thursday that the Kyocera W43K is the first Japanese handset to feature its technology that improves the sound quality used in portable media players. BBE said the phone will restore detail and nuance typically lost in compressed audio, while also adding more warmth and harmonics to the sound.

Virgin Mobile to Launch Kyocera Slider Sonic Music Phone

Warren, N.J. - Following the recent introduction of new music phone models from Motorola and Nokia, wireless carrier Virgin Mobile on Tuesday announced the Slider Sonic phone from manufacturer Kyocera Wireless as the first music phone it will offer to subscribers. Available in October, the $249 Slider Sonic comes with 32MB of memory (upgradeable to 512MB), a video recorder and digital still camera. The phone will also be embedded with music videos from Seether and Submersed, AOL's AIM software, and links to mobile content from Virgin partners MTV and Comedy Central.
