New York - More than 1,860 issues of Life magazine have been added to Google's (NASD: GOOG) digital archives as part of the company's massive book-scanning project.

New York - Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Google (NASD: GOOG) on a hosted image service that will provide access to the LIFE magazine photo archive, which includes over 10 million images -- 97% of which have never before been seen by the public. The companies said that the images will be scanned and available on Google Image Search free for personal and research purposes, while Time will retain copyright and ownership of all images.

Time Warner, Getty Images to Resurrect Life.com

New York - Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) has partnered with photography archive Getty Images to form a joint venture, See Your World, that will resurrect Life magazine online in the first quarter of 2009, PaidContent reported. The mainly ad-supported site is expected to launch with 6 million photos, and eventually add up to 15 million.
