Bebo, a UK social networking site, today announced the appointment of Angel Gambino to the newly-created position of Vice President, Music.  In her new role, Ms. Gambino will be responsible for helping artists and labels use Bebo's base of 31 million users worldwide, enabling them to extend their reach and form one-to-one relationships with their audience. She will also have responsibility for devising partnerships between artists and brands and retailers.

Limelight Networks, a content delivery network for digital media, announced that Matthew Hale has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Hale reports to Limelight Networks Chairman and CEO Jeff Lunsford and is responsible for all of the company's finance and administrative operations. Hale was previously with S1 Corporation, a customer-interaction software firm, where he was President of North America Retail Banking, Global Wholesale Banking and Insurance Markets.

Limelight Networks to Provide Content Delivery for Current TV

Tempe, Ariz. - Limelight Networks announced on Monday that it will provide its content delivery network services to Current TV, the pro and amateur video network co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore. "Our users are hooked on viewing and voting. The success of an online video community is absolutely dependent on the quality of the video experience," said Smith Forte, vice president of online for Current TV. "Limelight Networks enables us to consistently deliver high-quality video content to our community, regardless of site traffic or video size."

Content Delivery Network Limelight Raises $130 Million

Tempe, Ariz. - Limelight Networks, a provider of content delivery network services that help speed digital media across the Internet, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $130 million in its latest round of venture capital financing, led by Goldman Sachs Capital Partners.

Limelight Networks to Provide Content Delivery for Brightcove Internet TV

New York - Internet TV delivery technology provider Brightcove announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Limelight Networks, and will use the company's digital media content delivery network to distribute its Internet TV content. Brightcove supports the distribution of broadband video in formats including Flash streaming video, Windows Media and MPEG-4, to Internet-connected devices such as PCs, handheld devices and televisions connected to a home network.

Limelight Networks Delivers "Today" Show Webcasts for MSNBC.com

Limelight Networks to Power Internet TV Channel for U.K. Broadcaster ITV

London - Limelight Networks, a provider of content delivery network technology for digital media, announced on Monday that U.K. broadcaster ITV will use its technology to stream live TV over the Internet. The online ITV Play channel will offer a roster of programs with interactive features, such as "This Morning Puzzle Book" and "Rovers Return Pub Quiz".

PodShow, Limelight Networks Partner on Podcast Delivery Network

San Francisco - PodShow, a provider of podcast creation and distribution software, said on Tuesday that it has partnered with content delivery network provider Limelight Networks to launch PodShowPDN, an accelerated delivery network for podcasts. The companies said PodShowPDN can be used to manage, deliver and track tens of thousands of shows, millions of episodes and hundreds of millions of downloads.
