Day -1095: Waiting for a Macintosh that comes close to a Vaio in size, weight, and, most importantly, battery life. Day -60: Rumors start circulating about a super-cool, super-thin MacBook. Day -30: Go into Apple store and tell them to put one of these rumored super-cool, super-thin MacBooks aside for me if the rumors are true. Day 0: Steve announces MacBook Air at Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

I ordered a MacBook Air site unseen. That's a first for me. As I write this I'm about to go workout and it dawns on me that I'm on my 3rd generation of Apple IPod. I started with the original, switched to a bigger version (to back up all my pics and show off my kids to my friends) and then for the holidays, got myself and wife an iTouch.

Missed our coverage of Steve Jobs keynote at MacWorld 2008 yesterday? Well, thanks for the Veronica Belmont at Mahalo Daily, here is the 60 second video recap of the 90 minute keynote. How is that for an executive briefing? However, if the contents of the keynote can be distilled to one minute, what does that say about the substance of Apple's (NSDQ: AAPL) recent announcements? Well, investors have already made up there mind about it. Apple's stock tanked yesterday and it continues the downward spiral today.

Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs unveiled a super-slim new laptop Tuesday, MacBook Air, as well as movie rentals on iTunes in his much anticipated keynote at MacWorld. However, investors were not impressed and sent the stock down 4.3 percent at of 10.40 am PST.
