Andover, Mass. - Mad Doc Software, a privately held developer of video games, has been acquired Rockstar Games, the unit of Take-Two Interactive (NASD: TTWO) that created the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise.

Vivendi's Sierra to Publish "Empire Earth III" for PC in the Fall

Los Angeles - Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment announced on Friday that it is currently at work on the third installment in its multi-million unit selling real-time strategy franchise, "Empire Earth." Developed by Mad Doc Software, "Empire Earth III" for PC is slated for release in the fall of 2007.

Bethesda Softworks Ships "Star Trek: Legacy" for Xbox 360

Rockville, Md. - Independent game publisher Bethesda Softworks on Friday shipped its "Star Trek: Legacy" title for Xbox 360 to retailers. Developed at Mad Doc Software, the game features the voices of all five actors who have portrayed U.S.S. Enterprise captains -- William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks, and Kate Mulgrew -- as well as storyline input from Star Trek writers Dorothy "D.C." Fontana and Derek Chester.
