CBS Streamed 8.6 Million Hours of NCAA March Madness

New York - CBS Sports (NYSE: CBS) announced on Thursday that users streamed 8.6 million hours of college basketball via its NCAA March Madness On Demand player this year, an increase of 75% over the 4.92 million hours streamed last year. The total number of users was also up, to 7.52 million from 4.76 million a year ago.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - CBSSports.com (NYSE: CBS) reports that viewers of its March Madness on Demand live video streams of the NCAA Div. I Men's basketball tournament numbered 4.8 million through Saturday -- the third day of the tourney -- up 65% from the same point last year.

CBS: March Madness Player Drew 4.7 Million Web Viewers

New York - CBS (NYSE: CBS) said on Monday that its March Madness On Demand video player drew 4.7 million total unique viewers, and streamed 4.9 million total hours of live video during the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The number of unique users was up 164% over last year's 1.8 million, but 2008 was the first year that CBS offered all 63 games of the tournament live online, and without local blackouts.
