Dulles, Va. - As part of a major strategy push toward online video, AOL on Tuesday announced five new Web-based programs that it will produce in partnership with production companies such as Mark Burnett, DreamWorks Animation and Telepictures.

Los Angeles - Reality TV producer Mark Burnett ("Survivor," "The Apprentice") announced on Wednesday that he has formed a joint venture with music producer Emilio Estefan, to develop multimedia entertainment for the Hispanic community that will be distributed on the Internet, mobile devices and network broadcast.

Los Angeles - AOL announced on Monday that it has signed a deal with Entertainment Tonight co-anchor Mark Steines to host "Gold Rush," an online interactive reality series created by Mark Burnett Productions and AOL. Launching in September, the seven-week game will challenge players to solve clues online, on CBS and in magazines to find over $2 million in gold hidden across the U.S.

MSN to Produce Exclusive Online Content for Mark Burnett/CBS' "Rock Star"

Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft's MSN said on Wednesday that it has once again partnered with Mark Burnett Productions to provide exclusive online programming for the CBS reality series "Rock Star". MSN will produce weekly behind-the-scenes episodes containing all-original footage, in addition to offering CBS clips. The second season of the show will audition a singer for a new band, Supernova, to record an album alongside all-star bandmates Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke.

New York - America Online announced on Monday that it has signed a deal with Mark Burnett Productions, creators of "Survivor" and "The Apprentice," to produce a reality treasure hunt series that will air exclusively on its AOL.com website. Clues to the treasure in "Gold Rush!" will be placed throughout the AOL network, on websites including AOL.com, AIM.com, Moviefone.com and MapQuest.com, while the series will track the real-world challengers. "The world is changing and the Internet is about to become the next broadcast network," said Burnett. "With the volume of people able to watch content on their computers between 9am to 5pm, it could very well become the new primetime." AOL did not provide a launch date for the Web series.
