Los Angeles - Japanese video game publisher Square Enix on Wednesday announced the slate of new games it plans to release this summer. In addition to "Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth" for PSP, which shipped on July 18, the company plans to release "Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII" for PlayStation 2 (Aug. 15); "Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime" for Nintendo DS (Sept. 19); and "Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria" for PlayStation 2 (Sept. 26).

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America, the U.S. arm of the Japanese video game publisher, announced on Thursday the line-up of games it will showcase at E3 next week. They will include "Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2," "Naruto: Ninja Council 2," "Dead Head Fred," "Flushed Away," "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Genie & the Amp," "WTF: Work Time Fun" and "Break'em All".

San Francisco - France-based video game publisher Ubisoft on Wednesday announced the roster of upcoming games it will preview at the industry's Electronic Entertainment Expo next week in Los Angeles. The company plans to show 10 titles for next-generation consoles, including "Assassin's Creed"; Gearbox Software's "Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway"; "Dark Messiah of Might & Magic;" Japan-based FromSoftware's "Enchanted in Arms" for the Xbox 360; "Open Season," based on the animated film from Sony Pictures; "Rayman Raving Rabbids"; and "Red Steel" for Nintendo Wii. Ubisoft will also bring two new titles in its Tom Clancy series -- "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas" -- and an undisclosed title being created by Ubisoft and "Timesplitters" series developer Free Radical.

Chicago - Midway Games announced on Wednesday the lineup of 14 game titles it will have on display at the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. Upcoming titles from Chicago-based Midway include "John Woo Presents Stranglehold," based on the director's film "Hard Boiled"; "Happy Feet" and "The Ant Bully," based on films from Warner Bros. Pictures; "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy," based on the Cartoon Network series; and "The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar". The company will also show Epic Games' "Unreal Tournament 2007"; "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon"; "Mortal Kombat: Unchained"; "Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run"; "Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War"; "Rush"; and sports titles "Blitz: The League" and "NBA Ballers: Rebound".

Montreal - Electronic Arts announced on Tuesday that its Montreal-based boutique studio is currently developing "Army of Two," a new original property for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that will ship in 2007. Separately, EA said that "Doom" developer id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment have developed a mobile phone roleplaying game called "Orcs & Elves," which is slated for release for Verizon customers on May 9 and for nationwide release in July.

New York - 2K Games, a unit of video game publisher Take-Two Interactive, announced on Monday plans to publish "Ghost Rider," based on the Marvel Comics franchise and upcoming feature film adaptation from Columbia Pictures/Marvel Studios. The game is being developed for consoles and handheld systems by Climax Group for release alongside the film in February 2007.

Tokyo - Disney's Buena Vista Games announced on Monday that it will publish its first original title, "Spectrobes," for the Nintendo DS handheld. The anime-inspired action roleplaying game is being developed by Kyoto-based Jupiter Corporation; Buena Vista said a release date for the game will be announced at a later time.

Santa Clara, Calif. - Namco Bandai Games America, the U.S. arm of the Japanese video game publisher, on Monday announced the lineup of upcoming titles for next-generation consoles it will display at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this month. The company said it plans to publish "Tekken 6" and "Ridge Racer 7" for PlayStation 3, in addition to "Mobile Ops: The One Year War" and "Culdcept Saga" for Xbox 360.

They include "Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz," in development at Sega Studios for the Nintendo Wii; "Virtua Tennis 3," which is being developed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for release in the spring of 2007; and "World Pool Championship 2007" for PlayStation 2 and PSP, from U.K.-based studio Blade Interactive, which will be published in the fall of 2006.

San Antonio, Texas - AT&T announced on Thursday that its online music portal AT&T Blue Room will this year offer exclusive interviews and live performances captured at U.S. music festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Launched a year ago, AT&T Blue Room has since delivered more than 1,000 video music clips.

The company will bring its massively multiplayer PC titles "Soul of the Ultimate Nation" and "Project Wiki," in addition to "Huxley," a multiplayer game that will be available both for the PC and Xbox 360. The company recently established North American operations in Los Angeles.

Agoura Hills, Calif. - THQ announced on Monday its 2006 lineup of Nickelodeon video games, which have to date shipped 40 million units worldwide. They include "SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab," "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "Nicktoons," "Barnyard," "Unfabulous" and "Danny Phantom Urban Jungle". The titles are currently in development at THQ-owned studios including Blue Tongue Entertainment and Blitz Games, and at independent studios Altron, Natsume, Halfbrick Studios, Wayforward and Tose.

New York - Atari announced on Monday that it will publish two games in 2006 for PlayStation 2 based on the "Dragon Ball Z" animated TV series. "Super DBZ" is currently in development at Namco Bandai Games and Crafts & Meister for release in July, while "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2" is being created by Namco Bandai Games and Spike for release in the fall of 2006. Atari said it will also release a version of "Budokai Tenkaichi 2" for the next-generation Nintendo Revolution console.
