New York - Organizers of The Webby Awards, which honor websites, interactive ads, online film and video, on Tuesday announced they have partnered with dotMobi to launch The Webby Mobile Awards, to recognize websites for mobile devices.

New York - Representatives from ad agencies including Agency.com, R/GA, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Tribal DDB and Ogilvy & Mather have been added as new members of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, and will serve on the jury for the new interactive advertising categories recently announced by The Webby Awards. The 15 new Webby Award interactive ad categories include banners, rich-media ads, integrated marketing campaigns, and viral and e-mail marketing.

New York - The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences on Tuesday announced a call for entries for the 11th Annual Webby Awards. This year will see the debut of new awards for interactive advertising and online film and video. Nominations are due by Oct. 27. Nominees will be announced in April, and winners will be unveiled in June 2007.

New York - Winners of the 10th Annual Webby Awards, including the founders of MySpace.com, Thomas Friedman, Mark Cuban, The Gorillaz and Internet co-inventor Dr. Robert Kahn, were announced on Tuesday by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The Webby Awards recognized the top websites, people or companies in 69 business, consumer and culture categories from a total of 5,500 entries from 40 countries. A June 12 ceremony hosted by Rob Corddry of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" will be held in New York to honor the winners, each of whom will give an acceptance speech limited to just five words.
