Bacardi to Commission Exclusive Tracks, Offer Free MP3s

San Francisco - Alcoholic beverage maker Bacardi is launching an online music initiative that will offer exclusive songs, remixes and live tracks from a range of artists as free MP3 downloads, Wired.com reports. The Bacardi Bat Project -- named for the bat on the company's logo -- does not appear to have a website, but will instead be releasing the exclusive tracks through music blogs.

Bacardi to Launch Mobile, Online Streaming Radio Channels

Miami - Liquor distributor Bacardi announced on Friday that it will fund a branded online and mobile phone streaming radio station, scheduled to launch in May in the U.S. and the U.K. The station will be powered with technology from Colorado-based Blumodus, and in addition to standard radio programming, will eventually feature Bacardi-sponsored concerts and events.
