Music Magazine Blender to Go Online-Only

Los Angeles - Alpha Media Group has decided to shutter the print version of music magazine Blender in favor of an online-only edition, in a move that will see the company lay off about 30 employees from the magazine, PaidContent reported. The company has also combined the print and digital editorial teams at its Maxim men's magainze.

New York - Delivery Agent said on Monday that it has signed a multi-year agreement to create an e-commerce site for Dennis Publishing's Maxim magazine. The Shop.Maxim site will feature products that appear in Maxim magazine, as well as an assortment of products and gear for 18-34 year-old men.

Usually, when a magazine wants to boost its bottom line, it does it through licensing new ventures, usually in the Internet space. Airborne Extends Mobile Content Deal with Maxim Magazine

Montreal - Mobile entertainment publisher Airborne Entertainment announced on Monday that it has extended an agreement with Dennis Digital, a unit of Maxim magazine publisher Dennis Publishing. Montreal-based Airborne said over 5.8 million units of Maxim mobile products were sold in 2005. The expanded agreement includes new mobile games, and additional personalization, messaging and other products for Dennis Publishing's Blender and Stuff magazines.
