AT&T to Launch Mobile TV Service on Sunday

San Antonio, Texas - AT&T (NYSE: T) plans to launch its AT&T Mobile TV service for cell phone users on Sunday, providing its customers an alternative to Verizon's similar V CAST service.

Los Angeles - Sony Pictures Television (NYSE: SNE) has signed a deal with wireless carrier AT&T (NYSE: T) and mobile TV firm MediaFLO USA, a unit of Qualcomm (NASD: QCOM), to launch the first linear mobile movie network in the U.S., according to The Hollywood Reporter.

CBS Offers 24/7 Mobile TV Feed from "Big Brother" House

Los Angeles - CBS Mobile (NYSE: CBS) has partnered with Qualcomm's MediaFLO USA to expand its mobile access to the reality series "Big Brother" to a real-time, 24/7 live feed of activity from inside the Big Brother house. The service will be available to Verizon Wireless subscribers who live in the 50 or so metropolitan areas currently covered by the FLO TV service.

Verizon Mobile TV Service to Offer 24 Full College Bowl Games

Basking Ridge, N.J. - Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Qualcomm's (NASD: QCOM) MediaFLO USA to offer 24 full-length college football bowl games to its V CAST mobile TV service.

Verizon Wireless to Offer 70 Live NBA Games on Mobile TV

Basking Ridge, N.J. - Verizon Wireless said on Wednesday that it will offer more than 70 live, ESPN-produced NBA basketball games on its V CAST Mobile TV service for mobile phones this season. The service will be powered by FLO TV, from Qualcomm's MediaFLO USA unit. The first games available on the service include tonight's match-ups between the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers, and Seattle Supersonics and Denver Nuggets.

Gemstar Licenses TV Guide to MediaFLO for Mobile TV

Los Angeles - Gemstar-TV Guide International, a provider of electronic program guides for digital TV services, said on Tuesday that it signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Qualcomm's MediaFLO USA. The deal allows MediaFLO to incorporate Gemstar's program guides into its commercial U.S. mobile TV service.

Verizon to Offer Live Mobile TV Stream of CBS' "Big Brother 8"

Los Angeles - Verizon Wireless said on Friday that it partnered with CBS Mobile and Qualcomm's MediaFLO USA to stream live footage 24-7 from the set of the reality TV series "Big Brother 8" to cell phones. The real-time live feed will be offered from Aug. 19 through the Sept. 18 finale of the show to V CAST Mobile TV subscribers.
