Waterproof Headphones Firm H2O Audio Signs Michael Phelps

San Diego - H2O Audio, a manufacturer of waterproof headphones and accessories for MP3 players and other consumer electronics, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with 16-time Olympic medalist swimmer Michael Phelps. Phelps' imagery and voice will be integrated into select product packaging, advertisements and displays at retailers including Apple Stores, Best Buy and Target, as well as online.

Michael Phelps Signs Development Deal With 505 Games

Los Angeles - Video game publisher 505 Games announced on Monday that it has signed a deal with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps to develop branded console and iPhone games. Development is underway on the first title, which 505 said may also include some of Phelps' teammates. The company also said it will donate a portion of proceeds to the Michael Phelps Foundation.

Swimmer Michael Phelps Surpasses 1 Million Facebook Fans

Baltimore - Fresh off his record-breaking performance at the Beijing Olympics, Baltimore swimmer Michael Phelps also continues to make giant waves online. As of Tuesday morning, the 23-year-old's Facebook fan page had just over 1 million members. As the Baltimore Sun pointed out, that's second only to presidential candidate Barack Obama, who had 1.35 million Facebook fans. "So many comments poured in [Monday], part of his fan profile site temporarily crashed," The Sun reported, citing Facebook officials. By comparison, Phelps -- who on Sunday broke Mark Spitz's Olympic record with eight gold medals during a single Olympics -- had more fans than the two most popular bands on Facebook, Coldplay and Linkin Park, combined.
