Baltimore - Millennial Media, a provider of mobile advertising technology and services, said on Monday that it has raised $16 million in its third round of funding, led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

Baltimore - Millennial Media, a developer of mobile advertising services, said that it has signed MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet arm of Major League Baseball, to its network. The company said through the deal, marketers will be able to more easily reach and engage baseball fans who visit MLB.com's mobile website.

Baltimore-based Millennial Media, a provider of cross-platform mobile advertising services, has named Stephen Root as its COO. Most recently, Root served as the COO of Baltimore-based Advertising.com and previously as a senior vice president at Dulles-based AOL, helping to orchestrate AOL's $435 million acquisition of Advertising.com in 2004.

Baltimore, Md. - Millennial Media, a developer of mobile advertising technology, announced that it has raised $6.3 million in its first round of venture capital financing.
