- Web video search index Blinkx announced on Friday that it has made a $41
million bid to acquire MIVA, the operator of a pay-per-click ad network as well
as a network of consumer destination sites and interest-specific toolbars.
San Francisco - Blinkx, a provider of a searchable index of Web video, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with MIVA that will bring contextually targeted advertising to its users. The MIVA-powered Blinkx Smart Ads Platform will offer advertisers the opportunity to deliver ads which are targeted to users based on their location, and the specific topic of whatever video content they are viewing through Blinkx.
