New York - CBS (NYSE: CBS) has signed a deal with "Lonelygirl15" creators EQAL for first look rights to new multiplatform show ideas from the digital studio, which will also team with CBS show producers to create online and mobile extensions for their programs, according to The Hollywood Reporter. First up will be a series of daily webcasts for the "CSI" franchise.

FlyTunes Adds Video Partners to iPhone Streaming Service

Lancaster, Pa. - FlyTunes on Thursday added audio and video podcasts to its free, 350-channel mobile content network, available on devices including the iPhone and iPod Touch. Content partners include Comedy Central, NBC and CBS.

BlackBerry Bold to Support Music Sync with iTunes

Waterloo, Ontario - Research in Motion's (NASD: RIMM) new BlackBerry Bold smartphone will feature a new BlackBerry Media Sync application that lets users sync their iTunes (NASD: AAPL) digital music libraries on the device. Slated to hit stores this summer, the BlackBerry Bold will also ship with Roxio music, video and photo management software.

London - Nimbuzz on Tuesday introduced its free mobile VoIP and instant messaging service, which enables free calls, instant messaging and group chat on over 500 supported handsets across services including Skype, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk, MSN and 23 social networks including Facebook and MySpace. Available now as a beta in the U.K., the service works on Nokia Symbian Series 60 devices connected to a 3G or Wi-Fi network, and also offers a hybrid VoIP for GPRS/EDGE, allowing users to make international mobile calls at local dial-in cost.

Mobile Service Dada Adds DRM-free Sony BMG Tracks

New York - Mobile entertainment publisher Dada Entertainment, a joint venture between Dada USA and major label Sony BMG, on Tuesday announced the addition of DRM-free full-song downloads from Sony BMG artists to its offering. Subscribers to the Dada pay $10 a month for 15 tokens, which are redeemable for ringtones, wallpapers, games and full-song downloads. The full-song offering requires users to first download tracks to a PC and then transfer them to their phones.

Greystripe to Offer Free Mobile Games from Sega

Cupertino, Calif. - Apple (NASD: AAPL) has signed deals with Singapore's Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) to launch the iPhone in Singapore, India, Philippines and Australia later this year. In related news, Apple said its online stores in the U.S. and U.K. are sold out of the iPhone -- although retail stores still hold stock -- likely an inventory sell-off making room for the expected launch of the next-generation iPhone.

Orb Networks Enables Live TV Streaming to iPhone

The video stream must originate from a PC with a TV tuner card. The company said it created a special application called OrbLive to get around the iPhone's extreme limitations on supported video formats.

Tokyo - Chaku-Uta Full, a Japanese mobile music download service owned by a group of Japanese record labels and operated by Label Mobile, has now served over 200 million full-track song downloads since its inception in November 2004, Billboard reports. The service passed the 100 million download mark in May 2007.

New York - Despite its much-publicized removal of its programs from Apple's (NASD: AAPL) iTunes Store in December, NBC (NYSE: GE) has begun offering streaming full-length episodes of shows including "The Office" and "30 Rock" for free on the iPhone, Silicon Alley Insider reports. The episodes, which are broken into four parts, included standard TV ads at the end of each segment.

Best Buy Pays $2.1 Billion for 50% Stake in Carphone Warehouse

The company, which offers mobile phone service in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and other countries, did not provide any other details on the partnership.
