Hearst, Volantis Launch Mobile Versions of Cosmopolitan, Seventeen

New York - Hearst Publications announced on Tuesday that it has launched a number of mobile sites and mobile content for its magazines Cosmopolitan, CosmoGIRL and Seventeen. Hearst partnered with Volantis to develop the mobile versions of the magazines, which include ringtones, wallpapers, horoscopes and editorial content and will be available to Cingular and Sprint Nextel subscribers. The mobile commerce portions of the sites will be powered by U.K.-based Bango.

3 UK to Offer Mobile Version of "Civilization" PC Game

London - 3 UK Ltd., the U.K.-based 3G subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Hutchison Whampoa, announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Com2uS, to offer the Korea-based developer's mobile version of the popular PC videogame "Civilization" from Sid Meier's Firaxis Games.

In-Fusio to Develop Mobile Version of Microsoft's "Halo" Xbox Game

San Francisco - French mobile game publisher In-Fusio announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Microsoft to develop a mobile version of the company's 14 million unit-selling "Halo" game for Xbox and the PC. In-Fusio, which has also developed mobile titles based on Microsoft's "Age of Empires" and "Zoo Tycoon," said the first "Halo" mobile games will be available later this year in North America, with other territories to follow.
