New York - Mobile game publisher Gameloft on Tuesday announced the launch of its re-make of the classic PC game "Oregon Trail" for mobile phones. The company partnered with licensor The Learning Company on the am, which features modernized graphics and other new features.

New York - Mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft on Friday released its "Grey's Anatomy" mobile game, based on the ABC TV series. The game, which is composed of "skill-based surgery mini-games taken from actual episodes of the show," is available from most U.S. carriers.

Los Angeles - Mobile game publisher Gameloft said on Monday that it has struck a deal with CBS Mobile to develop, publish and distribute a mobile game based on the TV drama, "CSI." The show's creator and executive producer, Anthony Zuiker, collaborated on the first title in the series, "CSI: Miami," which launched in the U.S. today.

San Diego - Mobile game publisher Gameloft has secured the rights to develop a mobile game based on Paramount Pictures' upcoming film adaptation of the epic tale, "Beowulf," GameDaily.biz reported. The France-based company, which has also developed mobile games for "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost," will offer the game in over 75 countries alongside the film's debut on Nov. 16.

New York - Mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft on Wednesday announced a deal to create a mobile game version of Endemol USA's TV game show "1 vs. 100" for cell phones, and launched a version of its game based on the ABC series "Lost" for fifth generation iPods. "1 vs. 100: The Mobile Game" is set to debut in the fall, while the iPod "Lost" game is available for purchase for $4.99.

New York - Mobile game publisher Gameloft plans to expand into publishing games for BlackBerry mobile devices, The New York Times reported on Monday. Research in Motion, which manufactures the BlackBerry, counts about 8 million subscribers. Gameloft titles for the Blackberry will include a version of its "Asphalt: Urban GT 2" racing game, "Pro Golf 2007 feat. Vijay Singh," and games based on the TV shows "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."

Nokia to Debut New N-Gage Game Phone Platform in the Fall

London - Nokia has announced plans to introduce the next generation of its N-Gage mobile phone game platform in September, with publishers Electronic Arts and Gameloft committed to creating games for the new release, GamesIndustry.biz reported. Recent reports have speculated that Nokia plans to integrate N-Gage technology into a series of phones, rather than releasing another dedicated handset. "One of the main events for us is GDC in San Francisco in early March and that's really where you can expect some announcements," Jaako Kaidesoja, head of Nokia's games effort, told Mobile Entertainment magazine.
