Framingham, Mass. - LiveWire Mobile, a unit of NMS Communications (NASD: NMSS) that provides managed personalization services for mobile operators, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Groove Mobile, a provider of mobile music delivery services, for $14.5 million.

Barcelona - Mobile music service provider Groove Mobile on Wednesday announced a licensing agreement with Indie Mobile that will add a catalog of 70,000 independent artists' tracks to its offering. The deal includes rights to full music tracks, videos and master ringtones. Groove Mobile's service is available in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe and Australasia.

San Francisco - Groove Mobile, a provider of mobile music subscription services to wireless carriers, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with digital music distributor The Orchard, to create a full-track, off-portal music download service. The companies will promote the service with a free download of hip-hop artist Aceyalone's track "Can't Hold Back," which will be available across multiple carriers to any user with a music-capable phone, simply by sending a text message.

London - 24-7 Music Shop, a U.K.-based provider of online and mobile entertainment distribution services, announced that its mobile music delivery service has been adopted by Scandinavian wireless carrier TDC Mobile, while its online component will power Groove Mobile's online store for 3UK Music. TDC Mobile is the first wireless carrier to launch 24-7 Music Shop's mobile service, which will allow subscribers to purchase dual-format downloads -- with one copy sent to a mobile phone and another to a PC, where it can be burned to CD or transferred to a portable player.
