Palo Alto, Calif. - Mobixell Networks, a developer of mobile multimedia technology, said on Wednesday that it has acquired key assets of Adamind, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based supplier of media adaptation software for the mobile messaging services market.

Wellesley, Mass. - Mobixell, a provider of mobile multimedia technology, announced that it will pay $5.5 million to acquire virtually all the assets of Adamind, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based supplier of media adaptation software for mobile communications.

Milan, Italy - Buongiorno, a distributor of mobile entertainment content, announced on Wednesday a partnership with Mobixell Networks, a developer of mobile multimedia applications, that will allow mobile carriers to offer content-sharing among users. The service will use Boston-based Mobixell's Viral Mobile Content Sharing system and Milan-based Buongiorno's Digital Marketplace Platform, and allow mobile users to share multimedia content with one another and carriers to track peer-to-peer viral content exchange.

Wellesley, Mass. - Mobixell Networks, a provider of multimedia and business technology for mobile operators, service and content providers, has raised $8 million in a round of venture capital led by Intel. Founded in 2000, Wellesley, Mass.-based Mobixell offers products that optimize multimedia quality in mobile messaging services. Its products support content distribution, peer-to-peer content sharing, mobile advertising and other applications.
