New York - Mochila, the operator of an online content syndication marketplace, announced on Monday that it has raised an undisclosed sum of third round funding, led by the Greenspun Corporation.

New York - Mochila, an online media marketplace for text, video and photo content, said that it has signed an agreement with BBC Motion Gallery, the broadcaster's footage licensing division, that will allow for syndication of BBC content to mainstream media, blogs and other sites via Mochila's ad-supported program. Under the deal, BBC Motion Gallery will provide content to Web publishers for free, and earn a percentage of the revenue from ads accompanying the content.

Dallas - Belo Corp., an owner of U.S. TV stations and newspapers, announced on Monday that it has made an undisclosed investment in Mochila, an online marketplace for text, video and photo content.

Mochila to Syndicate Photos From Getty Images, Others to Blogs

New York - Mochila, a provider of content syndication for news organizations and bloggers, said on Thursday that it has signed deals to make images from three major photo agencies -- Getty Images, Zuma Press and Jupitermedia -- available for licensing by its customers. Revenue from advertising appearing on sites where the content is syndicated will be split between the copyright holder, website syndicating the content, and Mochila.

Mochila.com Raises $8 Million in 2nd Round Financing

New York - Mochila.com, an Internet-based media marketplace, announced that it has raised $8 million in a second round of funding. The funding was lead by Charles River Ventures, which was joined by Mission Ventures, The Greenspun Corporation, and Jerry Colonna, who co-founded Flatiron Partners.
