Mom&Pop Music CompanyArtist Management Firm Q Prime Launches Record LabelAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on September 22, 2008 - 12:31pm.
New York - Q Prime, a recording artist management agency that counts Metallica, Shania Twain and Red Hot Chili Peppers among its clients, has announced plans to launch its own record label, FMQB.com reports. The Mom&Pop Music Company will be based in New York City and distributed by RED. "Our ambition is not to be 'indie' or 'major,'" Q Prime's Cliff Burnstein told FMQB.com. "Instead, we are striving toward what would now be considered a boutique label, taking our inspiration from great historical music companies like A&M, Chrysalis, Sire and Island -- labels that maintained the best balance of cultural importance and commercial appeal." |
