Palm Signs Pre Deals With O2, Movistar, Bell Mobility

London - Palm (NASD: PALM) has signed deals with European mobile operator Telefonica's O2 and Movistar to offer its Pre smartphone, Reuters reported. Beginning in the fall, O2 will sell the Pre in the U.K., Ireland and Germany, while Movistar will get exclusive distribution in Spain. Palm also partnered with Bell Mobility to sell the Pre in Canada in the second half of 2009.

Movistar Debuts Unlimited Mobile Song Downloads in Chile

Los Angeles - Latin American wireless carrier Movistar, a unit of Telefonica, has launched what it says is the region's first unlimited mobile music download service in Chile, Billboard reports. The service costs about $7.50 per month and includes content from Universal Music and Warner Music Group, with a la carte mobile downloads available for about $2.10 each.
